Sumir and Manoj are both serial entrepreneurs having started and sold 2 different companies for a total value of $300 million (INR 2400 Crores). Sumir sold his company to the Carlyle Group while Manoj’s last company was acquired by Salesforce.
Sumir Karayi is an accomplished entrepreneur, having built 1E into a pioneering enterprise whose contributions to innovation, automation, and endpoint remediation have been widely recognised. His success culminated in 2021 when 1E was acquired by the Carlyle Group, a global investment firm.
Manoj Ganapathy, known for his entrepreneurial acumen, has previously founded two startups one of which was later acquired by Salesforce, a global leader in CRM. His expertise lies in creating cutting-edge technological solutions that respond to market needs.
Now, they are both leveraging their collective experience and insight to construct an ambitious new venture. They are currently developing an AI super app that will interface with all leading Lifecycle Management solutions in the market.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer who specializes in Natural Language Processing (NLP), particularly with expertise in Hugging Face, public LLM models, and open-source LLM models. Join our dynamic team in Chennai and play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying state-of-the-art NLP models and solutions. Your in-depth knowledge of Hugging Face libraries, transformers, as well as public and open-source LLM models will be instrumental in advancing our product capabilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an AI Engineer with expertise in NLP, Hugging Face, and working with public LLM models and open-source LLM models.
- Strong understanding of NLP concepts, techniques, and best practices.
- In-depth knowledge of Hugging Face libraries, transformers, and related tools.
- Familiarity with public LLM models (such as GPT, BERT, RoBERTa, etc.) and open-source LLM models.
- Proficiency in Python programming and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of machine learning and deep learning principles, with practical experience in model training and evaluation for NLP tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment frameworks for AI models.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge NLP models and solutions using Hugging Face libraries, transformers, and other relevant frameworks.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to implement end-to-end NLP pipelines, including data preprocessing, model training, and deployment.
- Fine-tune and adapt pre-trained Hugging Face models, public LLM models, and open-source LLM models to specific use cases, optimizing for performance and accuracy.
- Explore and experiment with novel LLM models, architectures, and techniques to improve NLP outcomes.
- Conduct research on the latest advancements in NLP, public LLM models, and open-source LLM models, and integrate them into our solutions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop AI-driven solutions.
- Evaluate and select appropriate models and techniques for specific tasks, such as sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, text classification, etc., including Hugging Face models and other public and open-source LLM models.
- Optimize and fine-tune models for deployment on various platforms, including cloud, edge devices, and mobile applications.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in NLP, Hugging Face, public LLM models, open-source LLM models, and related fields, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
